Dr. Susan D. Stein is a colorectal surgeon affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital and George Washington University Hospital, where she is an assistant clinical professor of surgery. Dr. Stein is certified in colon and rectal surgery by the American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery. She practices out of GWUMFA Department of Colon and Rectal Surgery in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Stein has an expertise in anorectal surgery; pelvic floor diagnosis and treatment for fecal incontinence; obstructed defecation and rectal prolapse; colonoscopy and colonic surgery; and laparoscopic and open surgery for benign and malignant problems.

Dr. Stein earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital. She completed a residency in general surgery at George Washington University Hospital, followed by a fellowship in colorectal surgery at Carle Foundation Hospital.
